Playful harp ⬩ The Little Rudolfinum
The program for children is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The program will not be supplied with English subtitles.
Programme
How much does a harp weigh? How many strings does it have? How many fingers do you need to play the harp? And do you know that this royal instrument can make lots of magical sounds? Our harpist Jana Boušková will show you everything. And with the accompaniment of the harp, we will even go dancing on the bridge of Avignon!
The programme combines a workshop and a concert. In the first part we learn something about the harp and how to dance to the song “Sur le Pont d’Avignon”. In the second part, there are interesting stories about the harp and demonstrations of playing and harp techniques using short compositions as examples, during which the children learn to listen to classical music with more concentration, how to behave at concerts, etc.
