A Morning with Musicians of the Philharmonic ⬩ Boom, boom, crash, clang – the percussion up close
The program for children is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The program will not be supplied with English subtitles.
Programme
Come play a remarkable number of different percussion instruments! With the Czech Philharmonic percussionist Pavel Polívka we will visit the world of traditional and exotic percussion – coconuts, gourds, or even sheep hooves. We’ll see the influence a rhythmical accompaniment has on how a composition sounds, and we’ll even look at film music, where percussion plays an essential role. All of this is in the form of an active workshop.
