Tenor Petr Nekoranec is also a laureate of many world competitions. The soloist of the National Theatre Opera in Prague excelled in Florence in October 2022 as Oronte in Handel's Alcina alongside Cecilia Bartoli in the title role and in March 2023 as Pylades (Gluck: Iphigénie en Tauride) at the Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy. In Prague we will hear both artists in arias and scenes from operas by Donizetti, Gounod, Puccini, Verdi and Dvořák's Rusalka. The guest of the concert will be baritone Boris Prýgl, a finalist in two prestigious international singing competitions: Belvedere and Operalia Plácido Domingo, where he was awarded the coveted Birgit Nilsson Award.
