This colorful piano recital invites listeners on a journey through three centuries of music – from the Baroque and Romantic eras to the 20th century. The program features two of Beethoven’s late piano sonatas, considered among the deepest and most moving works ever written for the instrument. Between them, we hear expressive miniatures: a lyrical prelude by Chopin, three vivid character pieces by Shostakovich, and beloved spiritual melodies by Johann Sebastian Bach – including the well-known “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Sonata in C minor, Op. 111 – a powerful and transcendent work often seen as his musical farewell to the world. This concert is perfect for classical music lovers and for anyone seeking a moving and memorable musical experience.
The concert is organized by JCH ART AGENCY PRAGUE s.r.o.
