He is a laureate of the Bach Competition in Leipzig, the Prague Spring International Music Competition, the Concours Géza Anda in Zurich, and in 2015, he reached the semi-finals of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. At the Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival, the leading Czech pianist Marek Kozák will present a programme inspired by dance, ranging from the Baroque sarabande to the ‘devil’s’ waltz.
